THE DESIGNER

Hi! I'm Justin Baranski, a multi-disciplinary designer and maker from metro Detroit, MI. I have a passion for making high-quality pieces with timeless appeal.

STEPPING STONES

Growing up in my grandpa's shop gave me an appreciation for fine craftsmanship and beautiful, intentional design from an early age.

In highschool I experimented with scenic painting and set design and later worked as a museum exhibit designer while attending the University of Michigan.

Today I work full time as an architect, designing high-end homes across southeast Michigan.

Natural texture. Honest craft.
Clean lines.

Today, Justin is still in the workshop with his grandfather, designing and building custom furniture, decor, lighting, and more. From sculptural lamps to floating shelves, restored vintage pieces to custom lighters, his work blends clean aesthetics with practical functionality. He focuses heavily on showcasing natural wood grain and texture — letting the material speak as much as the design. Everything they make together is rooted in honest artistry, thoughtful construction, and a deep respect for making things well.
